Delivery & Other Info

Delivery is to England, Wales and Scotland (exc Islands and Highlands):
FREE DELIVERY to our surrounding villages, 6 mile radius of Satplehurst, Kent
For national delivery – £5.00 delivery cost

The delivery charge covers delivery to one address only, if there are multiple addresses please place separate orders or telephone us. Delivery can be a work address but will usually be delivered to the reception area of Companies.

It is best if there is someone to receive the goods and to sign for them, as we are delivering perishable products. But if this is not possible, please leave any alternate instructions in the Comments Box – eg a dry place where it can safely be left for a short time. However if a parcel is left without obtaining a signature this is at your own risk.

Please take care to provide us with the correct delivery details:
House Number – Please inform us of the house number if possible and not just the name of the house.
Postcode – Please state the full postcode, which can be found at www.royalmail.com.
Directions/Specific Instructions – if the address is hard to find please give us some more information to help.
Telephone Number – Please include daytime and mobile numbers if possible. This will only be used in the case of the driver being unable to find the correct address.

We use a national next day courier service and send cheese to arrive Tuesday – Friday. But please bear in mind that  the stated delivery time is a guide only and not a guarantee as there can very occasionally be problems that are out of our control (bad weather, vehicle breakdown etc) or during very busy periods such as Christmas week, when the delivery times may be extended.

Please note that we need 48 hours notice for delivery, and you can choose your preferred delivery day during checkout. We will send an email on the day your order is despatched.

Availability

As we are farmhouse artisan cheesemakers rather than factories there may be some occasions when a cheese is not available. If this happens we will try and contact you to arrange an alternative by the email address given, or if we cannot do so before despatch, we will make an intelligent choice for substitute.

We reserve the right to cancel an order without liability if necessary.

As all of our cheeses are handmade and cut to order by hand, the individual sizes and exact shapes will vary slightly.

We have given approximate weights, but if one piece is a little under weight we’ll try to make up for it on another.

Payment

All prices are listed in GBP, and some may include VAT, which is displayed and charged at the current rate. Payment is taken as the order is placed.

Payment may be made online by credit/debit card using our secure-payment  gateway operated by Paypal. We always try to ensure that your cheese reaches you in the best possible condition. Please open your box straight away and refrigerate. If you think that the goods are damaged or in an unsatisfactory condition, please inform us by email or telephone within 24 hours of receipt. We may request that the items are returned to us.

We cannot be held responsible for any parcels not being delivered or quality deterioration due to incorrect delivery information being given, unopened parcels, delayed deliveries due to weather problems or for gifts if the recipient is away or unable to receive the parcel.
