June is always a lovely month on a dairy farm.
The first of the grass silage has been cut and stored ready for the winter months, the cows are out grazing and loving the sun on their backs and time for a few catch up jobs.
The first visitors to our converted area above our cheesemaking rooms were the South East Holstein Club - dedicated farmers to the traditional black and white dairy cow. I think they enjoyed meeting our over friendly Brown Swiss girls!
Next to come over are the Kent Smallholders - lots more cheese tasting - yum!
Our food fairs this month are the Wealden times Midsummer Fair at Rolvenden and then the Squerreys Celebration at Westerham - more details on our EVENTS page - hope to see you there.
